Managerial Intelligence Book Cover Design
When Dr. Buchko asked me to design the cover for his book, he already had a good idea of what he wanted. He wanted a cubist visual style like Picasso, that conveyed different people working together, all while looking clean yet eye-catching.
I realized that the cubist style lead itself to visualizing the concept of collaboration, by having silhouettes overlapping each other to create one unit. The different head shapes were also a way to show diversity in the group.
During the design process we went through around 25 different variations of the cover with changes to the color, style, and layout. Eventually we landed on a clean and vibrant blue design.
